Most of us may not have experienced extreme hunger or the effects of malnutrition before. Did you know that a crumb of dry bread that we may throw indifferent is a hope for millions of people?
Imagine waking up one day not knowing where your children are going to eat, imagine a week like this, imagine months or years.
Traditional solutions alone have become insufficient, and the delivery of some food parcels is no longer enough to protect children from diseases resulting from malnutrition such as: anemia, anemia and stunting, so sustainable and innovative solutions must be provided for a better tomorrow.
Some of the sustainable solutions provided by Nida Elalem Foundation projects in the fight against hunger, for example:
Establish community-run food banks to help as many of the hungriest families as possible.
Distributing seeds and training local people to enable them to raise the level of crop production.
Development of irrigation systems to increase agricultural productivity.
In times of emergency, we work to fight hunger, and in times of emergency and disaster,
Nida Elalem Foundation is quick to respond to the food needs of those affected in Yemen, Syria, Gaza, Sudan and elsewhere.
Emergency hunger activities include the provision of food parcels, vouchers to buy basic food items to help individuals and families in times of crisis, and the establishment of emergency feeding centres to support acutely malnourished children.
In addition, Nidaa Al-Alam invests in the seasons of goodness (the month of Ramadan and the season of sacrifice) annually, and works to provide food parcels and fresh meat to thousands of families around the world who cannot meet their minimum nutritional needs.
